Stok Khangri (6,153 m)Stok Kangri is the highest mountain around Leh. The peak is located in Stok Range in Hemis National Park. It is not a difficult peak to climb. Classified as a trekking peak, it is probably one of the easiest 6,000 m mountains in the Himalayas. However, the climb of this summit should not be underestimated, as Stok Kangri is nevertheless an enduring challenge.
Kindly note: Since 2020, Stok Khangri is closed for any expedition due to overcrowding, and pollution-related issues. |
Mentok Khangri (6,250 m)Mentok Kangri is located on the Rupshu Plateau in Eastern Ladakh which is inhabited by the nomads. The trek begins at the lake of Tso Kar, crosses over four high passes, and then climaxes with the ascent of Mentok Kangri, a stunning trekking peak overlooking the lake Tso Moriri.

Kang Yatse (6,496 m)Kang Yatse is located at the end of Markha Valley. The mountain has two summits: The lower western peak (Kang Yatse II) at an altitude of 6,300 m is easier and more frequently climbed. The higher eastern peak is the true summit (Kang Yatse I) although less frequently climbed as it is across a technically difficult knife-edge traverse.
