Chadar TrekkingIn older days, the Zangskar Valley was completely cut off from the rest of Ladakh during the winter months. For the local inhabitants, the only means of travel to reach the capital Leh was to trek the frozen Zangskar River. The most preferred time to do the Chadar Trekking is January or February when the river is frozen. This trekking has become quite popular with adventure tourists.
Dates 2025 Our fixed departures are in February and March 2025. If you have your own dates, kindly let us know accordingly. Please note: The first three days you have to stay in Leh for acclimatization, organization of permit, etc. before embarking to your Chadar Trek. |
